Requirements for the 3-month AB541 First Offense DUI Class in California


What are the class requirements for a first offense DUI in California? If you are taking a class in person, you will have to complete:
  1. 18 hours of group therapy
  2. 12 hours of alcohol and drug education
  3. 8 self help meetings such as AA or SMART recovery
  4. 1.5 hours of individual counseling (10-15 minutes each).
If you live outside of  California, and have been approved for an online class by your judge, you can complete the 32 hour AB541 online DUI class at Tom Wilson Counseling to meet all of the Drinking Driver Program class requirements.
